After so much effort finally I got to talk to someone who I don’t know is from Delhi Traffic Police or not.

This is conversation from DTP’s facebook page.

After the kind of reaction I got from the other side, I am pretty sure that they themselves don’t want to go against any govt department. so I just stopped the conversation, because it was going to be the endless discussion.

I got a message sometime ago, which is funny, but very true.

No Body wants to go to govt SCHOOL
No Body wants to go to govt HOSPITAL
But Every Body wants a govt JOB. All because of the same reason, no body wants to work at govt departments.

Guess which one most favorite line of DTP
1. Thanks, it will be looked into.
2. Thanks, action will be taken.
3. Thanks, concerned signal agency has been informed.
4. Thanks, area traffic staff has been informed in this regarding.
5. Thanks, your complaint will be sent to area traffic officer for necessary action.

Why don't we complaint to DTC too, about the drivers breaking rules ?

Google for Delhi Transport Authority and also write to them for the same to be corrected.

Sunny Yes... I agree with Lalit...FYI, I have two RTIs with DTC regarding their style of operations. One hearing is coming soon... I am not going to end up the DTC issue here.... We want a reliable Public Transport System (DTC) here and such systems can be an extended relief for our traffic problems. Do you agree this?

Lokesh Lal Yes I do agree. But the way DTC style of driving changed since last few months, you must have observed that as well. And Thanks for the link. I will write a complaint there also.

Well i had to write this, because i was so frustrated with Geico ads all over. Hey if you want to sell something then show some sense in your ads. Their silly ads are all over radio, tv and internet with that silly green reptile and “15 minutes can save you 15% or more” quote which is not even true.

Everyday i drive to my work and just don’t feel like listening to radio anymore because of hell lot of Geico ads.

I at least expect ads to be funny if they doesn’t make any sense. And i have to mention here that i took me way more than 30 minutes to get a proper quote for my car’s insurance and that to very expensive. I got a better quote from many other insurance companies.

Facebook problems often reflect relationship problems in ‘real’ life.

How Facebook Problems Start

It starts as an innocent conversation, maybe with a long-lost high school friend. You get connected again, and all the talk about old times and fun things you did…. then somebody says something with a little sexual innuendo. It’s fun.. harmless..right? Well, maybe not. Then once the door to more intimate conversation is open, it tends to escalate, and before you know it, you may even make plans to meet, date or even become physically sexual… all outside the awareness of your partner or spouse.

You’re in the Danger Zone!!

If you are married or in a committed relationship, it’s very important to maintain your integrity and honesty. Make no mistake; when you are acting on being sexually interested in someone other than your spouse or partner, that is a form of ‘cheating’. The damage from that decision can be far reaching. Regardless of how innocently it starts, if you’re using facebook.com or something like it to carry on an inappropriate interest in someone else, you’re over the line.

The best plan

The best thing to do is think ahead: what will the outcome of this action be? Or even better, ask yourself honestly: “Would I write this same email or post this on some one’s wall in facebook if my wife or husband (or significant partner) were standing right there watching me?” If the answer is no, you probably shouldn’t hit ‘send’.

Do you have similar Facebook Problems?

If you’ve been through something like this, would ove to hear what your experience was. Did it work out in the end? Did you and your partner work together to get past the trust problem and make your relationship better? Or, did it mark the end of the relationship?

When you are successful, you might think whatever you do will be a success and will be accepted by everyone. But i totally disagree with that and this is what i sensed when i saw Dhobhi Ghat. That is one of the worst movies i have ever watched although i am big fan of Aamir Khan. This is what the movie is about:

“A newly married Muslim immigrant, makes home videos and commits suicide. A painter watches home videos & paints a painting. A NRI investment banker photographs Dhobi ghat. A Muslim clothes washer kills rat at night.”

No storyline and a very dull movie. I waited the whole time for some twist or connection between the characters but the movie ended just like that. I saw people recommending this movie on internet and saw some good reviews, however all i can say is “pathetic”.

Make It Work provides computer repair service in Southern California and is based in Santa Barbara, California. We had a issue with our computer at our office and we decided to get their services to fix the computer. The issue with the computer was that we couldn’t start it. The reason we came to know about these people is because they roam around the city in their Mini Cooper with Make it Work’s stickers all over. They charge minimum of an hour service cost which is round about $159 irrespective how minor the issue is. But because we had important stuff on that machine we had to call them.

The guy that they sent to us(i suppose his name is Will) came and criticized us for not fixing the machine ourselves and was overall very sarcastic. He didn’t even check the machine before he criticized us. I was like you guys are in business because of people like us. Anyways, he checked the machine as told us that the power supply is dead. He helped us in ordering a new power supply. It took him no more than 15 minutes and charged us $150ish.

The next day our new power supply was delivered and we came to know that the power supply that Make It Work guy ordered wasn’t okay for our machine as it had less ports. Anyhow i fixed the power supply with the computer and had to leave floppy drive unconnected. Still the machine couldn’t start. I wasn’t sure that was going on as i tried all the combinations. We called Make It Work again and expected not to charge again as the issue wasn’t fixed, but they still mentioned that they will charge for their next visit. Because anyhow we wanted that machine to work, we called them again.

This time they sent a different guy which i think was trying to fix any computer for the first time. I had to tell him how to open screws and fix the power supply. For 45 minutes he kept on playing with the power supply and mentioned that after 15 minutes billing cycle will restart. I was so frustrated and told him that at first we shouldn’t have paid you for this visit and secondly if you sit here for 2 hours and do nothing we are not suppose to pay you. At last i mentioned him to check the video card and then after looking at it he said “looks like the video card is the problem”. After we hooked up the new video card(that luckily we had in our office), the machine started.

After all this mess, we tried to explain that they actually didn’t fix the issue as:

1) They ordered wrong power supply for us

2) Till the end they couldn’t figure out the issue

3) In the first visit he actually didn’t fix the issue rather ordering wrong power supply made us pay more money.

But in the end it showed that they had no ethics and no customer respect. They charged us the total amount. I would never in the future would use their services nor recommend anyone.

I once wanted to visit Shanghai but my friend from China suggested me not to visit there, as according to him China is not a tourist friendly country. I was really shocked and canceled my trip. Few months later i had to visit Beijing for a business trip and i booked Air China from Los Angeles. I was so shocked for some reasons during my flight that i would never ever travel in Air China nor suggest anybody else.

There were couple of reasons that i would like to mention:

The flight was very dirty, had no personal TV’s. It looked as if they didn’t clean the plane at all after the last flight. The blanket that i was given was already used by some other passenger. I asked for a new blanked but every time they gave me used blanket. There were hair all over the blanket but it didn’t matter Air China staff. Some lucky passengers got new blankets.

The light bulb above my seat never turned off. I asked the staff to do something about that as i had to sleep, and they completely ignored me.

China is doing so well, except the language problem. The staff knows that they can’t speak English and every time i tried to explain them something, they seemed very pissed off. I experienced the language problem in China as well. I wanted to make a call to US, but no one there could help me with that. Finally my travel agent helped me.

Note: Never visit China without advance booking and make sure you mention a English Speaking guide.

The plane was so old and thus was so noisy.

Finally my main concern was food. The food was awful. I think Chinese people doesn’t know that people are vegetarian too(also don’t forget vegans). I am a vegetarian and they offered me Beef or Pork?????????? I was like are you kidding me. I know i could select my meals before boarding but i was sure that its going to be either veg or non-veg and i was okay with whatever vegetarian food they give me. On my return i booked vegetarian meal online. And as expected, the food was so bad that i could eat anything except that i got myself.

I mean Air China charged me more than good flights, and i expected good services, but was very disappointed and would never suggest anyone even consider it.

Hi all, today i am writing this because i am so pissed off by Indians abroad. It took me years to reach threshold and write what was in my heart for a long time. Is this in our culture to be narrow minded? Is this in our culture to never see any one succeed? Is this in our culture to judge people on how much money they make?

These are some of many questions that i always think but always thought that there is nothing i can do. But now i think at least i can write what i think. I am in Computer Science field, and did my masters from one of the most prestigious colleges in USA, but when it came to jobs things were really different. Every company was filled with Indians. At first i thought, this is going to be good for my moral support, however my perception started changing as soon as i started giving interviews.

An Indian will never try to make you feel comfortable during the interview. Interview with an Indian will always be cold. He/she will always show their ego as if what they do can’t be done by others. Interview with an Indian will always be about “Knowing” which means that they will only emphasize on what you know, rather than how capable are you to learn. When it comes to job, everyday is a new learning and that is what they never emphasize on, however lets say if interviewed by Americans, they will always look how well can you solve problems rather than how much you know. A single term becomes the most important question for the job (Okay what if i don’t know the full form of any silly thing, where all my concepts are clear).

Among us the root problem we are community biased, where the community can be of same religion, region, college etc. We will prefer someone of our own community irrespective of the fact how much the other person know. I have been several times which part of India i am from as if i was from where the interviewer was then i was perfect for the job.

There are endless issues among us and i can see jealousy everywhere. No one is happy with what other is doing. After so many interviews i gave, now i have realized that it is almost impossible for me to get in a company where an Indian interviews me. I always pray that i never encounter any Indian for my interview, because this will not only hamper my morale but also increase hatred towards those Indians who have forgot that with power comes responsibilities, and there is no pride in rejecting an Indian for a job.

My latest experience was with an Indian lady with Akamai technologies. I got a call from her and without any interaction she started asking technical questions. I wasn’t very comfortable as she created the whole atmosphere so tensed, although i answered all the questions she asked. The questions were all algorithmic based followed by a silly Perl question that i answered as well. I didn’t get any email or call from there, thus i emailed then back and here is exactly what was in the email:

“Hi Vishal, Unfortunately we will not be moving forward based on your Perl skills.” . I was so confused as i wasn’t even asked a proper Perl question, thus i replied back mentioning the same. But we Indians are so courteous that we don’t even bother to reply.

I really wish that we should help rather than screwing each other.
