Last week I got my bike serviced. Then I was talking to my mechanic, and he told me to hold on and not to go for the all new Baby CBR250R.
Reason: He was in training at Yamaha’s center and then they saw a brand new bike which looks more muscular, bigger, even bigger than CBR, bigger engine (looks like 180cc, that’s what he told me), wide rear, and what he discussed with the other members over there they told him, that this will be more powerful than the current motorcycles in India (including Pulsar 220 and CBR250R) and will be launching very soon.
Yamaha is about to launch the new R15, which might be a huge disappointment for the Proud CBR owners because this all new R15 will cost you around Rs 100,000.

I don’t know what to call this bike R15, R165, R18, R20 or R250???

But whatever, this will rock the streets

If you want to convert HTML to PDF in .NET, then I bet EVO HTML to PDF is one of the best paid tools available in market. In this you just have to render the HTML on a fresh page and pass the reference of this page to the EVO library, do some settings in the code, like repeating headers, setting margins and many more and throw the PDF to the output response stream as an attachment, if you are using ASP.NET or save the file on hard drive.

PdfConverter pdfConverter = new PdfConverter();
// set the license key - required
pdfConverter.LicenseKey = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["EvoKey"];
// set the converter options - optional
pdfConverter.PdfDocumentOptions.PdfPageSize = PdfPageSize.A4;
pdfConverter.PdfDocumentOptions.PdfCompressionLevel = PdfCompressionLevel.Normal;
pdfConverter.PdfDocumentOptions.PdfPageOrientation = PdfPageOrientation.Landscape;
//Similary set the other required properties

//Add header
pdfConverter.PdfDocumentOptions.ShowHeader = true;
pdfConverter.PdfHeaderOptions.HeaderHeight = 25;
//GetHeader() will return the HTML for header
HtmlToPdfArea headerHtmlToPdf = new HtmlToPdfArea(GetHeader(), urlToConvert);
pdfConverter.PdfHeaderOptions.AddHtmlToPdfArea(headerHtmlToPdf);

//Generate PDF from url
byte[] pdfBytes = pdfConverter.GetPdfBytesFromUrl(urlToConvert);

//throw the response or save the file on the hard drive
Response.Clear();
Response.AddHeader("Content-Type", "application/pdf");
Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", String.Format("attachment; filename={0}.pdf; size={1}",
                                 pdfFileName, pdfBytes.Length.ToString()));
Response.BinaryWrite(pdfBytes);
Response.End();

Honda’s new CBR250R is in limelight since last few months and finally Honda is ready to deliver the all new baby CBR. But I saw a lot of post on internet comparing the mini CBR and Kawa’s Ninja250R. And at most of the places, the major difference I saw was that Ninja is faster, more power (about 7 bhp more than cbr), twin engine n blah blah blah. I do also like Ninja250, but that doesn’t mean that CBR250 is just of no use.
Well, I see CBR as a hit in India, considering its price, the kind of power it is delivering and no doubts about the Honda technology.
Not all people can afford ninja250, otherwise we might not have seen even a single Karizma ZMR on roads. Considering the price tag associated with ninja is way too high for almost most of the riders. Honda is offering CBR for 1.58 lacs onroad, which is almost half of the price of ninja.

Power delivered by CBR is good enough as well, ninja is faster but CBR is quicker. I have read somewhere that in dyno test, ninja delivers 25bhp and 13nm torque, where as cbr delivers 23bhp and 16nm. So cbr is not that bad in terms of performance. However based on the reviews of different websites, the cbr is lighter and easy to handle, which makes it a more preferable bike.

And above all, Top speed cannot decide which bike is better. Vibrations in cbr are way more less than the ninja. Thai riders say that they cruise on cbr at a speed of 145 kmph for hours and the feel is pretty awesome and they all are either very experienced or fresh riders.

Few people have also achieved a top speed of 165 kmph without any modifications.

The major problem with the cbr, which I feel is the sound of the bike, its more like a scooter. So when I will buy this bike, this will be the first thing I really want to change.

This bike would also give us a chance to get the feel of a big bike, as ninja is out of reach for most of us.

So one who really want to feel the big bikes and huge power, at an affordable price should definitely go for CBR250R. And I bet CBR will give a tough competition to Ninja as well on highways and streets, There no way one can ignore this fact. I think, the red chilli is going to f**k the green monkey (no offense)

Let’s see what this bike offers us.

Happy riding.

Continuing my previous post Yamaha Fazer.

Today I went to yamaha service station and asked him to put Vavoline engine oil that yamaha use for R15. and you wont believe me, Fazer was doing +125kmph (just good quality engine oil and some performace tuning service guy did) and ready to go more, I was on NH8 and ready to go more, but then suddenly have to slow down due to trucks. And after all this I am getting an average of 40 kmpl+ in street.

Thinking to get performace gears installed in my yamaha fazer (not all performace parts).

This is a follow up to Yamaha Fazer 150.

Fazer is a nice bike. Very good acceleration and pick up, well depend upon the person driving. I tried with power shifts and was driving at 120 kmph, and in normal drive, it can go upto 110 kmph. I was trying to push it beyond 110 kmph, but no help.

It doesnt vibrate at high speed, u will feel relaxed even if you are driving at above 100 kmph for a long time. Yes, excellent control at all the speeds.

Fuel consumption is a problem with this bike in city, but on highways it gives around 48 kmpl to 50 kmpl.

Major problem with this bike is, service station of yamaha, less in number and you will have to wait for a long-long time to get the bike serviced.

For initial 1500 kms, you will feel like the bike is burning, but not to worry.

Tyres are very sensitive, so try not to drive on bad roads unless you are on a trip.

Rest the bike is awesome if compared to any of the bajaj, herohonda bikes. ZMR is good, but for initial 6 months.

Recently I was confused between Bajaj/Honda/Yamaha.

Pulsar series is a popular one from bajaj, and cheap as compared to honda and yamaha. but again pulsar start giving problem in a year or two. honda is again not doing very well as there new ZMR is 223CC and only providing 17 bhp no good enough. then there are other bikes as well like GSR150, but again looks of these bikes are not good.
TVS, they created an excellent bike Apache, but its TVS so engine is always a concerned when it comes to TVS and bike is very compact.
Now it comes to Yamaha, they launched a FZ series. FZ, FZs and Fazer. All the bikes are same when it comes to engine. but they did slight modifications in the bike looks. Fazer as per me is a technology superior bike. and I have gone through so many reviews of fazer that it cannot go above 110, but it can go upto 120Kmph that too with out any problem and it will not scream .
front fairing of fazer is another add-on they did, keeps your bike stable at any speed, dont believe me take a test ride. I feel fazer is among one of the best bikes in india. I have also read at so many places that it is over priced, but you wont get yamaha technology in less than that
and yamaha is one you can trust. As Yamaha R15 is just 150cc and its bhp is 17 and top speed is more than that of a ZMR. So in the end i decided to go for Yamaha Fazer, excellent in looks, good pickup, nice top speed and yamaha’s technology.
Fazer runs on a 4-stroke, air-cooled SOHC engine. It’s stability on road is enhanced by radial tires with an aspect ratio at 60 per cent.
say NO to cars..parking is another huge issue

I have been in US for almost 5 years now, and i think the best thing i liked here is that people are so courteous and customer service. Any issues that i ever had with any service that i bought was solved or atleast best tried to resolve. I am from India so i talk to my folks and friends very often or i can say everyday, thus i was looking for a best calling plans deal. I had already tried Airtel, Reliance and Rebtel but always looking for a better deal.

One day i saw Vonage advertisement on TV that commits unlimited calling anywhere in 60 countries. Here is the snapshot of what they say:

It does mention “Countries included for unlimited international calling”.

I was so happy to see this, that i called their customer service immediately and asked them about the $24.99/month plan. They confirmed that i can call unlimited in US,Canada, Puerto Rico and other 60 countries which included India. This was like one of the best deals ever, so i got this service immediately.

I had no problems with the call quality and i was enjoying the service, but later i got an email from Vonage saying that i was their one of the most heaviest users and exceeding over 3000 minutes a month (these mintues include non answered calls as well). I was like what does that mean, i am paying for unlimited usage. So i called them, and now because i have bought the service they don’t care, the customer service representative especially their Account Management people were so rude. They said that its in our policies and i told them that everywhere in your site it says unlimited calling to these 60 countries.

This is the best part, they said that “Sir if you look this point on our Terms of Service. It says that your calls should not exceed 3000 minutes”. I was like everywhere in your site it says unlimited and in your 10,000 lines or Terms of Service somewhere you write about 3000 minutes, who is going to read the whole Terms of Service. I called there for almost 4 days and they were rude, didn’t want to listen and asked me to pay over $120 for cancellation, however in the mail they wrote that i can cancel the service without any penalty.

I was so frustrated over this period of time as Vonage didn’t want me to make unlimited calls and also wanted more money to cancel service when they themselves email me about no penalty. After 4 days i got to talk to one of their managers who was luckily “well mannered and no rude”. I explained him whats goin on and she accepted that the policies are not clearly mentioned in the website and also they will honour the mail and cancelled my service for free. I told her that why customers should suffer because of your shitty policies and again she said “I apologize for the inconvenience you had and we really appreciate you business”. It was the happies moment after 4 days as i was free from Vonage.

My advice to everyone, don’t buy Vonage. They ask for 1 year contract and if you do that and then realise about their hidden policies, coming out will not be easy.

The new iPhone 4 is here. Can i say this is the most disgusting thing i have seen. Just for the sake of launching something, apple launched this phone. I think Steve jobs have gone crazy. What does iPhone 4 have new. Voice chat that only works with wifi. Hellll….why wouldn’t i use skype,yahoo and all other great services. Man i loved apple products but have started hating steve jobs. He surely sucks and so his products now. See ipad that they launched recently. I bigger version of iphone.

What’s new

• Front-facing video chat camera
• Improved regular back-camera (the lens is quite noticeably larger than the iPhone 3GS)
• Camera flash
• Micro-SIM instead of standard SIM (like the iPad)
• Improved display. It’s unclear if it’s the 960×640 display thrown around before—it certainly looks like it, with the “Connect to iTunes” screen displaying much higher resolution than on a 3GS.
• What looks to be a secondary mic for noise cancellation, at the top, next to the headphone jack
• Split buttons for volume
• Power, mute, and volume buttons are all metallic
What’s changed

• The back is entirely flat, made of either glass (more likely) or ceramic or shiny plastic in order for the cell signal to poke through. Tapping on the back makes a more hollow and higher pitched sound compared to tapping on the glass on the front/screen, but that could just be the orientation of components inside making for a different sound
• An aluminum border going completely around the outside
• Slightly smaller screen than the 3GS (but seemingly higher resolution)
• Everything is more squared off
• 3 grams heavier
• 16% Larger battery
• Internals components are shrunken, miniaturized and reduced to make room for the larger battery
