Oracle might have acquired lot of companies, made best databases but i must say it has the most dumb website that i have ever seen.
After browsing it for less than 10 minutes i and other colleagues of my office were saturated and frustrated. The only thing we wanted to do is buy a software from their website, but it asked us to log in. Okay, i made an account. I tried to log in with my credentials but it said log in incorrect.
I clicked on “Forgot Password” and got a new password. Again tried to log in but this time i got System Error Encountered. I tried to make several accounts but this continued and also my colleagues tried this but no luck. Unfortunately Oracle doesn’t let you buy a product if you are not logged in.
I sent them an email and also called but no one picked up or replied back. Later i got call from them but they told me to do what i had already done. When i told them this they said “Sometimes technology sucks”. Hey i will say hire some good engineers and customer service representative. By end of the day i was so frustrated and still had no solution. Finally we decided to go for MySql Server (Just love Microsoft products).
Oracle seemed company of lawyers with so much of policies and content all over the website with no real information. I must say companies like these should care for customers rather than showing off their monopoly.
Sometimes technology sucks because of their creators.

Seems like u have spent a lot of time just not to buy a software, frustrating.
dont worry my friend you are not the only one who has faced this issue and oracle is just not the only company troubling there customers.

our new client wanted to load their database and their requirement was oracle database otherwise we were really happy using MySql. I am amazed that such a big company like oracle have not yet realized this issue.
