Installation steps Oracle 11g r2 on debian

In my previous post http://www.yoursearchbuddy.com/per-install-steps-oracle-11g-r2-debian, i described the pre installation steps which consists kernel settings, adding oracle user etc. In this post i will show you the steps to install oracle database on your machine:

Go the directory where you unziped the file at step 1 mentioned in the above post:

./runInstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs

Select install and configure database and then follow these steps:

  2. Hi, could any1 plz explain to me, in the step 9, where should i add that code? Should i create some new document? Or paste it in already existing file?

  3. @kuba – hey kuba, you must change this in your bash script. you can probably find it in /etc folder
