Punjabi Gobi Masala Recipe

Ingredients
250 gms cauliflower florets
2-3 tbsp vegetable oil
3 green chillies
1/2 tbsp turmeric
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 medium tomato,finely chopped
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp cumin powder
1 tbsp kasoori methi, dry fenugreek leaves
3 tbsp yogurt
cilantro for garnishing
Oil for Deep Frying
Salt to taste
Preparation
Wash Cauliflower florets with water. Pat dry.
Heat oil for deep frying Cauliflower florets. Deep fry florets over medium heat till it turns to light brown.
Heat 2 tbsp oil in pan add turmeric and ginger garlic paste, saute for 30 seconds.
Now add green chilies and chopped onions, saute until onion becomes translucent.
Once onion is done, add tomatoes and cook till it becomes mushy.
Add coriander powder and cumin powder mixed well .
Add fried cauliflower and stir . Whisk yogurt and make it smooth , mix it into the curry. Add salt. Add little water to adjust consistency. Cook over low heat
Mix fine powder of kasuri methi by crushing them between palms. Sprinkle it over Gobi Masala. Cover and cook for few minutes
Garnish with coriander
Serve hot with chapati, naan or bread.
